Peter Kelly, President & Founder
Peter Kelly founded Carbon60 Networks in 1995. Peter initially ran the business as a consulting firm, assisting Internet Service Providers with network services. Over time, Peter expanded the business to provide enterprise-class cloud hosting services to a number of large enterprises as well as Provincial and Federal government agencies. Peter attended the University of Toronto with a concentration in Computer Science prior to starting Carbon60 Networks. He is co-author of the first publicly available commercial Open Source book for O’Reilly & Associates, “Using Samba”.
Kevin Walsh, CFO
Kevin Walsh joined Carbon60 Networks in 2009. Kevin was the CFO of EFMARK Service Company and Premium Armored Services for ten years until the companies were sold to a private equity firm in 2006. During this period EFMARK Premium Armored grew from $15 million to $162 million in annual revenues. Kevin is Certified Public Accountant and serves as a board member for Citrus Systems Madison, LLC and Solutions360 Inc. Kevin received his B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University and earned a Masters Degree in Finance from the University of Illinois.

David L. Burke, Chief Executive Officer – StarDyne Technologies
Mr. Burke helped establish StarDyne in early 2001 to make strategic investments in technology-based companies focused on the public sector. Mr. Burke has a has financial, systems and operational background and has participated and led the strategic planning and visioning of both large and small companies within several industries. Before assuming his current CEO role, Mr. Burke was with Western Star Trucks Holdings Ltd., a publicly traded company, as Chief Financial Officer and as an Executive Director of the company. Prior to Western Star, Mr. Burke was with Gentek Building Products Inc., and also held various senior financial and systems positions with subsidiaries of Alcan Aluminum Ltd. for 17 years. Mr. Burke began his career in Information Technology with the federal government in Ottawa, Ontario. Mr. Burke is a Certified Management Accountant and serves as a Director or advisory board member for other companies including Purolator Holdings Ltd.
Ron T. Begg, Chief Operating Officer – StarDyne Technologies
Mr. Begg joined StarDyne in 2006. His background includes positions with major companies such as Shell Canada and CIBC. He began working with local governments in 1987 in operations for a municipal systems vendor. Since 1989, he has been a consultant, working with clients to identify, source and implement technology solutions. Mr. Begg has also worked with private sector firms to plan and organize their products and approach for the public sector. Mr. Begg is a Certified Management Consultant and a Professional Engineer and holds a Bachelor degree in Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and an MBA from the Ivey School of Business.
Mark E. Hoppe
Mr. Hoppe is the Managing Partner in the private equity firm MK Funds. MK Funds was established in 2006 to provide equity and venture capital to small and medium size companies. Prior to 2006, Mr. Hoppe was the Chief Executive Officer of EFMARK Premium Armored, which was headquartered in Westmont, Illinois. Mr. Hoppe founded EFMARK Service Company in 1981. By 2006 EFMARK Premium Armored had grown to a highly respected provider of ATM equipment and maintenance services with annual revenues of $162M and 1,300 employees. EFMARK Premium Armored was sold to private equity firms in 2006. Mr. Hoppe serves on the board of directors of Optimum Food Group, Cognient Capital, Citrus Systems Madison, LLC and Passbox. Mr. Hoppe is a graduate of Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
Brad Dempsey, CEO & Founder of Solutions360 Inc.
Mr. Dempsey has worked in the computer / software industry for over 30 years. Starting in 1979 at TRW Data Systems in customer service, he followed with positions at Prime Computer Ltd., Apollo Computer Ltd., Sequent Computer Systems Ltd and in 1988 founded Open Solutions Inc., which became Solutions360 Inc. in 2007. Mr. Dempsey has been involved in Internet support and implementation since 1987. He has held roles in technical support, software development, systems analysis, sales, technology management and technology consulting. He has consulted for clients such as Atomic Energy Canada, Oracle Corporation, Rubbermaid, U.S. Army, DMR Group Ltd., TTC, Moore Data Management and many more. Mr. Dempsey graduated from the RCC Institute of Technology with a diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology.
