As part of our WordPress-as-a-Service, Carbon60 provides a WordPress development environment that is fully isolated from production to ensure maximum security and reliability. Developing your business-critical web properties in this environment ensures compatibility with Carbon60’s identically configured WordPress production environment. From our WordPress development environment you can promote and, if necessary, roll back your site from either our production environment or our staging/test environment. For development teams, Carbon60 also offers an optional GIT or SVN code versioning service.

Operational Notes:
- Carbon60 uses an optimized version of WordPress based on the latest stable release
- Domain Name Services are included by default with all Carbon60 web hosting services
- All public access to development sites is password protected via the web server (i.e. htaccess) to prevent unintended viewing and crawling by web bots. This security feature is lifted in staging/testing to permit security and performance testing. Of course, this feature is also lifted in production.
- Per GB overage charges apply if total storage exceeds one (1) GB
- By default the GIT or SVN Version Control Service supports five (5) team members and includes daily backups with 90 days retention.
