Our Opportunity: The Cloud Solutions Architect (SA) is a key part of the organization providing technical pre-sales support to the sales team to design and pitch solutions for prospects and customers. The SA will lead technical discussions with clients arriving at ideal solutions to solve clients’ challenges using Carbon60’s managed cloud service portfolio that spans Azure, AWS, Carbon60’s cloud, and security services. Organizations in the medium to enterprise segment across industries are looking for help to migrate and manage different clouds for them, and the SA will help guide them with the right approach contributing to Carbon60’s success as we continue to build out our Azure expertise. Here’s how you will make an impact: Meet with clients that the sales team identifies as targets for Carbon60’s services Understand technical and business challenges that clients are experiencing and build relevant solution options and describe them to clients Deliver cloud assessments for early-stage clients Build professional written quotes and SOWs for account teams Present technical attributes of your solutions and assessments to to clients Champion customer needs internally with operations and technical teams to vet customer requirements and articulate custom requirements when necessary or relevant Provide feedback to internal teams to improve service offerings to meet and exceed market demand Work with vendors when needed to build custom solutions Work independently and as part of a team to help win new revenue by advocating for the customer opportunities you work on with the sales team Have knowledge and experience in the Azure and managed hosting industry and related technologies What You Bring: A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect serving the medium to enterprise market segments with managed cloud and hosting services Confidence in your solution design and the ability to establish credibility and communicate your designs effectively to clients at various levels (CIO, VP IT, Director IT, etc.) An ability to focus customer needs that may be broad or ambiguous into specific requirements that Carbon60 can effectively deliver Experience working in Azure and related services from an architecture perspective and ideally a build perspective too (includes Azure infrastructure solutions, Azure Virtual Desktop, M365, Azure Site Recovery, etc.) Exposure to DevOps approach to design and delivery of next gen cloud solutions Knowledge of design parameters and limitations including servers, licensing, storage and backup, security, network Azure technical certifications such as Azure Administrator, solutions Architect Other adjacent vendor certifications are an asset Detail oriented with analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication including presentations/white-boarding sessions Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task various demands from sales team Ability to work with tools and spreadsheets for quotes and pricing analysis for deals with strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills and diagram tools (Visio, Lucidchart, etc.) Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment, with a roll up your sleeves, get it done attitude; self-motivated and driven to succeed What’s in it for YOU: The ability to make a meaningful impact in helping to refine our Azure pre-sales approach Work with a knowledgeable and empowering team where people are inspired to do great work Flexible work environment to support the sales team and clients in region (in-person and remote calls) Competitive compensation including generous employee benefits plus a health spending account, RRSP with company matching An opportunity to grow with a top-notch organization that is growing fast As an employer Carbon60 recognizes the importance of balancing our careers with other aspects of our lives, and our culture reflects this ethos – from flexible work hours to health and wellness incentives and having fun along the way.
