As a result of recent growth, we are hiring a Solutions Architect (Pre-Sales). The Pre-Sales Solutions Architect (SA) is a key part of the organization providing technical pre-sales support to the sales team to design and propose solutions for prospects and customers. The SA will lead technical discussions with clients arriving at ideal solutions to solve clients’ challenges using Carbon60’s managed hosting service portfolio that spans Carbon60’s cloud, public clouds, and security services. Organizations in the medium to enterprise segment across industries are looking for ways to migrate to different clouds, and the SA will help guide them with the right approach contributing to Carbon60’s success. Your Focus: Meet with clients that the sales team identifies as targets for Carbon60’s services Understand technical and business challenges that clients are experiencing and design relevant solution options and help articulate them to clients ensuring they derive value from their investments with Carbon60 Champion customer needs internally with operations and technical teams to vet customer requirements and articulate custom requirements when necessary Provide feedback to internal teams to improve service offerings to meet market demand Build quotes and SOWs with an eye for pricing for account teams to present to clients Craft professional written responses for prospective customer requests for proposals, complex bids (RFPs) Work with vendors to understand their capabilities ith our solutions and to build custom solutions Work independently and as part of a team to help win new revenue by advocating for the customer opportunities you work on with the sales team Have knowledge and interest in the managed hosting and public cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) industry and related technologies Learn and remain proficient in our Partner Platforms and Technologies, licensing models, and responsibilities What You Bring: A minimum of 7 years’ experience as a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect serving the medium to enterprise market segments Technical and business acumen to establish credibility with customer contacts across a wide-ranging audience from CxO to developers and sys admins An ability to focus customer needs that may be broad or ambiguous into specific requirements that Carbon60 can deliver Knowledge of hosting parameters including servers, licensing, storage and backup, security, network to design solutions and quotes Knowledge and interest in public cloud services platforms and services and the ability to design relevant and modern solutions (lift and shift to cloud-native, scalable, secure) Detail oriented with analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication including presentations/white-boarding sessions Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task various demands from sales team Ability to work with tools and spreadsheets for quotes and pricing analysis for deals with strong Microsoft Excel skills Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment, with a roll up your sleeves, get it done attitude; self-motivated and driven to succeed Vendor certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, VMware, etc) and a desire to continuously learn independently What’s in it for YOU: An opportunity to grow with a reputable organization that is on track for hyper growth.
