John Witte leads the Carbon60 team in developing and executing the growth strategy to become the company of choice for enterprises demanding the highest levels of service for managed hosting and cloud computing solutions. John has over 20 years’ experience in business development and executive management where he has focused on achieving 100% customer satisfaction and profitable revenue growth for emerging IT companies. Prior to Carbon60 John was the country leader for CenturyLink Technology Solutions (formerly Savvis) responsible for the Canadian business operation. Previously John was a member of the executive team at Fusepoint Managed Services where he was instrumental in expanding the business from $2million to a $50million industry leader in Canada within 7 years. John earned a BA, Economics from the University of Toronto and studied International Business at Ryerson University, Toronto.
Ryan Smyth leads Carbon60’s corporate finance organization joining the team in 2019. Ryan has over 18 years experience in the technology sector where he has been actively involved in the successful completion of over 100 M&A transactions. In 2011, he co-founded Wireless Evolution Inc. and as CEO grew the business from $0 to over $100 million USD prior to negotiating a successful exit in 2018. Ryan is a CPA, holds a BBA from Simon Fraser University and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School General Management Program.
Fred Bullock joined the Carbon60 team in 2019 as VP of Business Solutions. Fred has been engaged in IT and entrepreneurial ventures for more than 25 years, including several IT firms offering network-based solutions and Software as a Service (SaaS). Most recently, Fred was Co-Founder and CEO of Cirrus9, a Canadian cloud computing and hosted solutions company based in Saint John, NB. Fred holds a B. Commerce & Engineering from Mount Allison University and an MScE from the University of New Brunswick.
Jeff leads the talented operations team which includes infrastructure engineering, service management and the service desk. Jeff is an experienced IT leader having worked in both the public and private sectors for over 30 years. He has built and led global support, implementation and engineering teams and developed global ITIL based processes and client advocacy programs for companies including Fusepoint, TELUS and PSINet. Most recently, Jeff led the Global Cloud Support and Global Client Advocacy teams for CenturyLink (formerly Savvis) where he was instrumental in rolling out a global follow-the-sun support model and built strategic voice of the customer programs. Jeff is a strong advocate of the Leadership Challenge framework developed by Kouzes & Posner and is a Net Promoter Certified Associate.
John Bodolai joined the Carbon60 team in 2020 as VP of Sales. John has spent his career in the technology field, helping enterprise customers move to the cloud and manage their applications in the cloud. John has held senior leadership roles in sales, marketing, operations and customer success at ScreenDynamics, Workday Canada, 360Insights and Nightingale Informatix Corporation. John graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Business Degree and went on to obtain his Certified Management Accounting (CMA) designation. He has also completed his Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) certification from the University of Toronto.
Bik leads Carbon60’s product strategy, marketing communications and strategic alliances to expand the Carbon60 ecosystem. Bik has over 15 years of success in the IT services sector with Canadian and global service providers. Prior to joining the team in 2016, Bik led market development and strategy for the Canadian division of CenturyLink (formerly Savvis) and brought significant investments in cloud and data centre builds to the Canadian market. Prior to that, Bik led product management for Fusepoint bringing new managed cloud and colocation options to the market. Previously, he held strategic marketing and product management roles at UUNet (Verizon) and Allstream. Bik holds a MBA from York University.
Peter Kelly founded ETS.net in 1998 and initially ran the business as a consulting firm, specializing in web application infrastructure for enterprises and government agencies. ETS.net was acquired by Carbon60 Networks Inc. in 2014. Peter is the Chief Information Security Officer for Carbon60 overseeing security and compliance efforts for our customer and internal environments. He also leads Professional Services engagements for security, application development and optimization and generally helping clients yield the best results from their IT environments. Peter attended the University of Toronto with a concentration in Computer Science. He is co-author of the first publicly available commercial Open Source book for O’Reilly & Associates, “Using Samba”.
Troy MacVay joined Carbon60 in 2019 as part of the acquisition of Cirrus9 and assumed the role of Chief Technology Officer. As the CTO, he leads technical direction including strategy, architecture, and the evolution of current and future services. Troy also brings his vast senior technical leadership experience in advising some of the largest companies in Canada and the US on how to increase efficiency and agility while reducing risk. Prior senior technical leadership roles include Chief Technology Officer – Cirrus9, Director of Enterprise Cloud Solutions – OnX (Acquired by CBTS), and Founder of MikeTango / Tango Technology Group (Acquired by BlackIron Data).
