John Witte leads the Carbon60 team in developing and executing the growth strategy to become the company of choice for enterprises demanding the highest levels of service for managed hosting and cloud computing solutions. John has over 20 years’ experience in business development and executive management where he has focused on achieving 100% customer satisfaction and profitable revenue growth for emerging IT companies. Prior to Carbon60 John was the country leader for CenturyLink Technology Solutions (formerly Savvis) responsible for the Canadian business operation. Previously John was a member of the executive team at Fusepoint Managed Services where he was instrumental in expanding the business from $2million to a $50million industry leader in Canada within 7 years. John earned a BA, Economics from the University of Toronto and studied International Business at Ryerson University, Toronto.
Alex joined Carbon60 in 2019 as part of a merger with Gossamer Threads. As the CTO, he is responsible for setting the technical vision and strategy for the company, develops services for our customers and tools to support our customers and internal teams. Alex founded Gossamer Threads Inc. in 1995 as a response to the lack of suitable software in the rapidly changing business environment of the 1990s. His ability to recognize and respond to opportunities in a timely, efficient and creative manner has allowed him to successfully expand the scope and market of Gossamer Threads over the last decade and a half. Alex studied computer science at Simon Fraser University. His early experience revolved mainly around website design, but once he realized that his true talent lay in programming and creating software, he had found his niche.
Peter Kelly founded ETS.net in 1998 and initially ran the business as a consulting firm, specializing in web application infrastructure for enterprises and government agencies. ETS.net was acquired by Carbon60 Networks Inc. in 2014. Peter is the Chief Information Security Officer for Carbon60 overseeing security and compliance efforts for our customer and internal environments. He also leads Professional Services engagements for security, application development and optimization and generally helping clients yield the best results from their IT environments. Peter attended the University of Toronto with a concentration in Computer Science. He is co-author of the first publicly available commercial Open Source book for O’Reilly & Associates, “Using Samba”.
Bik leads Carbon60’s product strategy, marketing communications and strategic alliances to expand the Carbon60 ecosystem. Bik has over 15 years of success in the IT services sector with Canadian and global service providers. Prior to joining the team in 2016, Bik led market development and strategy for the Canadian division of CenturyLink (formerly Savvis) and brought significant investments in cloud and data centre builds to the Canadian market. Prior to that, Bik led product management for Fusepoint bringing new managed cloud and colocation options to the market. Previously, he held strategic marketing and product management roles at UUNet (Verizon) and Allstream. Bik holds a MBA from York University.
Jeff leads the talented operations team which includes infrastructure engineering, service management and the service desk. Jeff is an experienced IT leader having worked in both the public and private sectors for over 30 years. He has built and led global support, implementation and engineering teams and developed global ITIL based processes and client advocacy programs for companies including Fusepoint, TELUS and PSINet. Most recently, Jeff led the Global Cloud Support and Global Client Advocacy teams for CenturyLink (formerly Savvis) where he was instrumental in rolling out a global follow-the-sun support model and built strategic voice of the customer programs. Jeff is a strong advocate of the Leadership Challenge framework developed by Kouzes & Posner and is a Net Promoter Certified Associate.
Clecia has led Carbon60’s finance team since January 2017. Prior to joining Carbon60, Clecia held the financial controller position in the not for profit, public and private sector within the software, film, finance and technology industries. She has over 15 years of experience in the field and has successfully led prior companies through mergers and acquisitions and organizational change. Clecia holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Toronto and is a designated CPA.
